Cheesecake with halva and rose jam
Cheesecake is one of my favourite kinds of cake
Preparation time 40 minutes
Serves 6-7IngredientsFor the base
350g digestive biscuits, crushed
110g unsalted butter, melted
60g walnuts, finely choppedFor the cheesecake
450g full- fat soft cheese
450g vanilla halva, grated
Zest of one lemon
1 tsp vanilla essence
200g rose jamPreparation method
1. Mix together the ingredients for the base and press into the prepared 24 cm tin and then refrigerate.
2. For the cheesecake filling, into a large bowl beat the cream cheese with the lemon and the vanilla essence until soft. Beat in the crushed halva and spoon the mixture on the top of the biscuit base. Then chill for 30 minutes and serve with a nice rose jam .There is an option to put the dessert in the freezer and serve it as an ice cream cheesecake. Your choice.
